Abstract: Wikis are fast growing, massively parallel, community-driven websites - everybody can edit every page and every content very easily. As this is usually really EDIT (not comment), information in a Wiki gets better every day and there is almost no "noise" (like in usenet or boards).

LinuxWiki.org is a Wiki for all Linux and Free Software users - it started in German language in first half of 2002 and has grown to >1700 pages in the meantime. We are currently working on the support for multiple languages (English, French and every other there is a demand for) and will switch to that "multilang" Wiki soon, so there will be an easy way for international, very productive and free cooperation between Linux users.

LinuxWiki.org currently contains (but is not limited to):

• a knowledge base for Linux basics and software, links, tips, micro-howtos, FAQs.
• Linux User Group Wiki pages, calendars and common resources
• personal Wiki pages of Linux Users - a nice method to get to know each other better
